ad solum means “to the earth”, it is the valley floor depiction our winemaking philosophy is that a grapevine lays claim to the land it sits upon and the soils around its roots. The resultant wine is one that strives to be the most faithful expression of that unique vine-terroir complex.
A different profile from our mountain site wines (ad coelum), ad solum embraces the robust fruit intensity from the deep gravelly soils of Oakville. While maintaining a balanced elegant style, this Cabernet is great with grilled meats and will benefit from decanting for 1-2 hours or extended cellaring.
